  • About Us

Our school was founded in 1841 and caters for all children from the age of 4 to 7. All children can start in the term after they are four, either part-time or full time depending on parental choice.

Our classes are organised into Nursery and Reception, and Year one and two, Our teachers are skilled at planning for mixed age classes and children work to their ability not necessarily their age. We have a very high staff pupil ratio to ensure all children are supported in their learning.

Our school consists of two main classrooms, and a well equipped library. We have extended our facilities by building a large resources/dining room to the rear of our school and a canopy outside Class one.

Outdoors the school has a large secure all weather playground and a large grassy play area. These contain some great facilities for playtimes like the chalet, wildlife area and children's garden, adventure trail, play panels and a wooden train.

Unusually for a small village school there is weekly access to all year round swimming lessons and sports facilities.

The Christian ethos is at the heart of our school, where we promote values that guide the children's daily lives and which are reflected in their confident, caring and respectful attitudes. The church and school are an integral part of the community in Marsworth and we encourage villagers to take part in school life as much as possible. Please see the SIAMS and RE section for more information.
